Usage and dosage: For internal use: decoction, 9-15g; in wine; or in pills and powder.

Content detection method: Determination by high performance liquid chromatography (Appendix VI D).
Chromatographic conditions and system suitability test: octadecylsilane bonded silica gel as filler; methanol-water (25:75) as mobile phase; detection wavelength 277 nm. theoretical plate number should be not less than 1000 according to the peak of pineol diglucoside.
Preparation of the control solution Take appropriate amount of Pinoresinol diglucoside control, add methanol to make a solution containing 0.5mg per 1ml, shake well, and obtain.
Preparation of the test solution Take about 3g of this product, cut into pieces, knead into flocculent, take 2g, weighed precisely, put it in a Soxhlet extractor, add an appropriate amount of chloroform, heat reflux for 6 hours, discard the chloroform solution, evaporate the chloroform residue, then put it in a Soxhlet extractor, add an appropriate amount of methanol, heat reflux for 6 hours, recover the extract to an appropriate amount of methanol, transfer to a 10ml measuring flask, add methanol to the scale, shake well, filter through, and obtain. The product was obtained.
Determination: 10μl of the control solution and 10μl of the test solution were taken up separately, injected into liquid chromatograph and determined.
Mechanism of action
Eucommia globulus is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine in China with abundant resources. Traditionally, the bark and leaves of Eucommia are used as growth promoters, growth enhancers, egg enhancers, lactation enhancers and immune enhancers for livestock and poultry. Farmers are aware of the benefits of feeding Eucommia to animals, and it is easier to accept emotionally. Experiments in recent years have initially confirmed that Eucommia bark, leaf extract and Eucommia leaf powder have the effect of improving the health level and production performance of livestock, poultry and fish; they have certain effect on improving the health of high day-old chickens and delaying the decline of egg-laying power, and have the possibility of improving the quality of animal meat and eggs. There have been preliminary experiments to confirm that Eucommia japonica leaf extract as a feed mold inhibitor has the same effect as chemical mold inhibitors, and has the potential to develop new antioxidants for feed.
