【Pharmacological action] Pharmacodynamics Tilmicosin is a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic for animals. It is stronger against mycoplasma, and its antibacterial effect is similar to that of tylosin. Sensitive Gram-positive bacteria include Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), pneumococcus, streptococcus, Bacillus anthracis, Erysipelas suis, and Listeria bacteria, Clostridium putrefaction, Clostridium emphysema etc. Sensitive Gram-negative bacteria include Haemophilus, Neisseria meningitidis, and Pasteurella. The activity against Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella and Mycoplasma is stronger than Tylosin. 95% of the hemolytic Pasteurella strains are sensitive to this product.

Pharmacokinetics: Absorbed rapidly after oral administration, characterized by strong tissue penetration and large volume of distribution (greater than 2L/kg). The concentration in the lung is high, the elimination half-life can reach 1 to 2 days, and the effective blood concentration can be maintained for a long time.

【medicine interactions】

(1) The combination of this product and epinephrine can increase the death of pigs.

(2) It has the same target as other macrolides and lincosamides, so it should not be used at the same time.

(3) Combination with β-lactams shows antagonistic effect.
